The Casa de Quilombo eV is dedicated to sport, culture and education. Through creative sports activities from different countries around the world we want to bring about a change in children, adolescents, adults and their families. For this we offer leisure activities as well as cooperations with day-care centers, schools and companies. Our idea Casa de Quilombo: Behind a name often has a long history and a strong meaning. The word Casa (Portg. Haus) stands for our home, in which everyone should feel comfortable and welcome. Our house of culture should be more than just a place of courses, it should be a place of meeting and experiencing together; a place of cohesion; a big family. The word Quilombo stands for communityQuilombos are of great historical significance. They are the villages that built escaped and free slaves in Brazil. They are places of cohesion and freedom in colonial Brazil, some villages still exist today. Quilombos are self-sufficient and are places of communal and harmonious coexistence. We also want to create a place of community and cohesion with children, adults and families, so that we can have a nice time together.

In 2009, he trained as a teacher (Instrutor) and then ventured in 2010 into the wide world. Another leap, for those Brazilians who are not part of the upper middle class or the wealthy! In Portugal he opened his first Academia He lived and worked there until 2014. In 2014 and 2015, he toured several European countries, such as Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Italy, gave workshops there and finally settled in the German capital Berlin in 2015. Foguinho's teaching transmits joy of life. Especially with the little ones, he has enormous success and manages to inspire them for the Capoeira and the Brazilian culture. As Foguinho says:

About the group Cordão de Ouro

Mestre Tião belongs to the group Cordão de Ouro, which was founded by Mestre Suassuna Capoeira on September 1, 1967. Mestre Tião is part of probably the most important and well known group of students of Mestre Suassuna, receiving their teacher certificates in 1988.

The group is represented in more than 150 countries worldwide and thus offers a home for every Capoeirista in another corner of the world.

My work is done when my students smile at least once in class.
